Having ventured to this tropical paradise over 30 times, often with my children, it’s one of my top recommendations for family vacations. I absolutely love planning adventures for my Mangata clients to this amazing country.
Costa Rica is a living, breathing classroom and is where my family learned about environmental conservation firsthand. The sight of sea turtles nesting on Tortuguero’s beaches after a midnight hike through the jungles is a memory we’ll always have.

Costa Rica’s landscape offers an activity-loaded playground. We’ve soared through jungle canopies on the best ziplines in the world, surfed warm Pacific waves, played pickup soccer with talented locals and have kayaked with volcanoes in view. Boredom is not a thing!
With two stunning coastlines, there is no shortage of beaches to choose from. From luxury resorts with banana boats and beach chair service to ecolodges with scarlet macaws circling above, there are solutions for every family’s wants.
Costa Rican life is about ‘Pura Vida’ or ‘pure life.’ My 2 youngest children are Costa Rican and the culture has always been part of our lives. The local communities are so inviting and there are always colorful markets and cultural events to experience. It’s an opportunity to learn from and be immersed in authentic joyful travels.

Navigating rapids together, watching the sunsets, reeling in a tarpon that’s fighting hard – there are so many experiences to share. My family and I are so fortunate to have Costa Rica in our blood (literally) and I love sharing it with others.
